How to Install FilmTV APK

Follow these simple steps to install FilmTV directly to your Android phone or tablet in under two minutes.

⚠️ Before You Begin

If you have a previous version of FilmTV installed, you do not need to uninstall it. Downloading and running the newest APK will automatically replace your old installation while keeping your favorites and watch history intact.

Because FilmTV is an APK (Android Package Kit) downloaded from outside the Google Play Store, Android requires you to perform a one-time security check called "Unknown Sources" or "Install Unknown Apps." It is completely safe and an official Android feature.

1

Download the Official APK

First, secure the latest, verified version of the application. Tap the primary download button on our site to get the safe file. Wait for the download to finish; it's about 52 MB, so it should only take a few seconds on a standard connection.

2

Open the Downloaded File

Once the download is complete, you will usually see a notification at the top or bottom of your browser that says "File Downloaded." Tap Open.

If you swiped the notification away by mistake, simply open your Android device's "Files" or "Downloads" app and tap on the filmtv-v4.0.1.apk file in the Recent Files folder.

3

Allow Unknown Apps (If Prompted)

If this is your first time sideloading an APK using Chrome or your current browser, Android will present a security pop-up. It will say, "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source."

Tap Settings on that pop-up. On the next screen, look for your browser (e.g., Chrome) and toggle the switch that says "Allow from this source" so it turns blue. Press your phone's back button once to return to the installation screen.

Tap Install and Launch

You will now see a final prompt asking, "Do you want to install this application?"

Tap Install in the bottom right corner. The installation bar will fill up (usually takes 3 to 5 seconds). Once it says "App Installed," tap Open to launch FilmTV directly, or tap Done to find it later in your app drawer.

Troubleshooting Common Errors

Error: "App Not Installed"

This is the most common Android installation error and usually means one of three things:

  1. Storage is full: You need at least 100 MB of free space to install the app. Clear cache or delete old apps.
  2. Corrupted file: Your download got interrupted. Delete the file and download the APK again.
  3. Conflict with old versions: If you are updating from a very old, unofficial MOD version, the signature keys won't match. You must uninstall the old app first, then install the new one.

Error: "Parse Error: There was a problem parsing the package"

This happens when you try to install FilmTV on a phone running a version of Android older than Android 5.0 (Lollipop). FilmTV v4.0.1 requires Android 5.0 or higher. You will need to upgrade your device's operating system.
